Kaiju Alpha Leveling & Skill Points

Checked:

How XP works

XP comes from fighting other players, destroying buildings and — most lucratively — killing other players.

Each kaiju starts at level 1 with a fixed XP requirement, and that requirement climbs at a flat rate roughly equal to the starting level's requirement. In practice the tenth level costs about ten times the first.

Cheaper, weaker kaiju need less XP per level. That is deliberate: a starter levels fast and hits softly, an endgame kaiju levels slowly and hits hard.

You do not have to take that on trust. Update 45 shows this dial being turned in public — it changed Kiryu's base XP requirement to 220. It is a rare case of a Roblox game publishing its own tuning numbers, and it confirms that the XP requirement is a per-kaiju dial rather than a global curve.

Skill points

RespecPoints can be retracted at any time, so there is no permanently ruined build. Experiment.

At 20 points and four stats, a full spread is five points each — which is almost never right. Every point in Vitality is a point not in Damage, and the level-200 builds people post are lopsided on purpose.

A worked example. Twenty points reach the cap at level 100. If you are farming rather than duelling, Vitality and Charge Regeneration keep you alive and swinging inside a crowd, which is where cell income actually comes from — Damage only pays when you survive long enough to use it. If you are duelling, the reverse. Because points are refundable, the correct answer is to run both and keep the one that suits how you actually play.

Limit Break

Limit Break raises a kaiju's level cap to 200. Paid in Cells, on top of what the kaiju cost to buy.

This is why endgame players keep farming cells long after they own everything they want — the second half of a kaiju's power sits behind the cap, not behind the purchase.

This is the single most common new-player mistake in the game. A second 6,000-cell kaiju feels like progress and is not; lifting your main from its base cap toward 200 is where the power actually lives. Level-200 showcase footage for the popular kaiju exists precisely because the difference is dramatic.

Read stat tables carefully

Base HP vs max HP

Update 45 lowered Kiryu's and Godzilla 2000's base HP while raising their max HP. If you read a stat table that lists a single HP number for either kaiju, check which of the two it means — several sites list one figure with no label.

Our kaiju list labels base and max separately wherever both were published, and says "not published" rather than guessing where they were not.
